Spurs Win Inter Hold Draw, Opportunity Still Open

Tottenham Hotspur finally won its first victory in the Champions League this season after being able to beat PSV Eindhoven 2-1 in the continuation of the fourth matchday match in Group B held at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday morning. These results also made their chances of qualifying for the last 16 increasingly open, because in other matches Inter only got one point after a 1-1 draw at home to Barcelona. Although the difference is three points from Inter who are in second place, the chance for Spurs to advance to the next phase is still open considering there are still two matches remaining between Spurs to meet Inter. Reporting from uefa.com.

The match between Tottenham Spurs and PSV Eindhoven was quite tight and interesting, Tottenham, who needed a victory in the pressure of PSV Eindhoven, were able to score quickly in only about three minutes. PSV's quick goal began with a cross from Gaston Pereiro who was then able to easily forward Luuk de Jong through a header towards the Spurs goal which was escorted by Paul Gazzaniga. Quick goals made by PSV made the game more open and both teams tried to buy and sell attacks. But entering the 20 minutes of the first half, Spurs more mastered and dominated the match. This is evidenced by the many opportunities for opportunities created such as in the 27th minute through a hard kick from close range Dele Alli who managed to be countered by the PSV goalkeeper, the rebound ball which was struck back was foiled by Jeroen Zoet. Opportunity Spurs again present in the 35th minute, Delle Alli again spread threats after successfully penetrating the PSV defense and releasing a hard kick, but the alertness and anticipation of the PSV goalkeeper to dispel a very good Delle Alli kick which became a solid wall under the rule because it was able to oppose opportunities - Spurs gold opportunity. The 1-0 score lasted and closed the end of the first half for PSV's advantage.

Entering the second half, the Spurs were left behind by one goal trying to take the initiative to suppress and carry out attacks that made PSV's game unable to develop and tended to survive more. In order to sharpen the front line, Spurs tried to put Fernando Llorente to be paired with Kane. The combination of Llorente and Kane was fruitful because it had a positive impact on the Spurs game and produced a equalizing goal in the 79th minute through Kane's foot. 1-1 draw made Spurs increasingly increase attack after attack, as a result the Spurs tore PSV back after Kane got a good pass from Ben Davies who then continued with a sweet kick in front of the goal mouth in the 89th minute. Kane's second goal became the Spurs' first winner after entering the extra time round, PSV was unable to catch up. 2-1 score closed the game and made the Spurs managed to collect their first three points in the group phase this season. This victory keeps the Spurs desperate to advance to the last 16 and their fate will take place on the fifth matchday when they meet Inter Milan in the next three weeks.
